Just steps away from the wedding venue, No Vacancy was the perfect place for Nicki and her bridesmaids to spend the morning getting ready and lounging in their beautiful guesthouse. Centrally located in the crossroads district of Kansas City, No Vacancy is one of the most well-designed, thoughtfully curated, and impressive stays downtown. I love the colorful mural, the sunny patio area and the cozy shared spaces. Nicki and John chose to do their first look on the patio here, and it was perfect!

Wedding Day Bar Crawl

One of the best parts about Nicki and John’s day was bouncing around to a few of their favorite places in Kansas City with their wedding party! After the first look, they kicked things off at Casual Animal, a brewery located in the crossroads district of Kansas City. It was the perfect cozy spot for a pre-wedding beer flight! Afterwards, they went to Swordfish Tom’s, a speakeasy located right behind their wedding venue. It was the perfect place to get out of the heat and enjoy a cocktail before entering into their wedding celebration.

The Everly Event Space

The Every is a beautiful venue located in crossroads. I love the versatility of the space, the big glass garage doors and the exposed brick walls. It is big enough to host a huge wedding reception, but still feels cozy and intimate with a smaller wedding as well. The staff at The Everly is always a pleasure to work with, and the venue is walking distance from a ton of bars and things to do in downtown KC! It’s a great location for people with out of town guests, because they can experience downtown Kansas City and still be close to lots of hotels and local spots.
