The Bride and The Bauer

A Classic Kansas City Wedding Venue

It’s no secret that the Bride and the Bauer is one of the most coveted wedding venues in Kansas City. It’s so beautiful at every hour of the day! The view of downtown Kansas City is unbeatable. There are two rooms for both sides of the wedding party to comfortably get ready, as well as a separate room from the ceremony and reception space for cocktail hour or a “room flip.” I love the way that the light hits the reception space with the north and east facing windows, keeping it soft and subtle but extremely bright without any harsh sunlight hitting your eyes during dinner. The venue is also centrally located in the crossroads district of Kansas City, and walking distance to a ton of bars, restaurants, hotels and more. Choosing Where to Stay on Your Wedding Night

Maggie and Russ ventured all the way back to Kansas City from their home in NYC to celebrate their recent wedding with their family and friends back in the Midwest. They are so loved - so, naturally, they needed a BIG space to keep all of their people comfy during the weekend’s festivities. They chose this beautiful historic home in the west side of downtown Kansas City for family and friends to get ready and out of town folks to stay in for the weekend. Choosing where to stay on your wedding weekend can make the entire day run so much smoother! Not having to bounce from location to location, and being able to gather back at the house after the reception ends are two things that your friends and family will thank you for. This home was perfect because it had three floors, with a kitchen and living area on each. The third floor was where the dudes got ready, the second floor was spacious enough for all of the gals to stay, and the bottom floor was a perfect place for family coming in and out to stop, eat, and chat for awhile before heading to the venue. The best part was that after they left the reception, the party continued back at the house where everyone was staying. Seamless!

Timelessly Colorful Wedding Florals

Eden Floral and Events knocked Maggie’s Kansas City wedding florals out of the park. I loved the way that the bright, summery bouquets filled the space with so. Much color and punch. The Bauer is, famously, so gorgeous that it doesn’t take much to make it look stunning, but the way that the colors popped against the umbrellas and cafe lights was a dream!
