Romantic Rehearsal Dinner with a Surprise Musical Guest

Have you ever daydreamed about hanging out with your favorite musician? Ever imagined them showing up on your wedding day and partying with all of your friends and family? Same. (Actually, I used to daydream that Garth Brooks would be at my wedding because I was marrying HIM. But being able to hang out with him and my friends when I married someone else would be like, a good second best option.) Abigail and Joey had that dream come TRUE on their wedding night in Kansas City. They were married earlier in the day at their church, and later on Friday evening they gathered in Abigail’s family’s backyard with their closest friends and family for a gorgeous meal created by Brancatos, followed by dancing, toasts offered by loved ones, and a night of celebration. A little bit into the reception, Abigail and Joeys’ family had a huge surprise in store for them. Singer and musical phenom Andrew McMahon made a surprise appearance. Needless to say, everyone was starstruck. He’s Joey and Abigail’s favorite, and it was amazing to watch them share their first dance to a live performance by him in her family’s backyard. One of my very favorite vendors to work with, Kindra, owner of Simple Elegance did all of the planning for Abigail and Joey’s Kansas City Wedding weekend. I couldn't recommend Kindra more. She’s organized, so speedy with emails (which is my love language) and her ability to make a couple’s vision come to life is unmatched. Their beautiful centerpieces and florals were created by Maple Lane Designs. I feel really grateful to Abigail and Joey for having me there to document this night!
